Disability Services and Assistive Technology

The university library provides access to any users, who may have disabilities. The library is located on the second floor of the main administration building and accessible by elevator from the main entrance on ground level. The assistive technology area has height adjustable desks for wheelchair and ergonomic chair users, and is equipped with modern, user friendly technology, such as Personal Computers (PCs), scanners, photocopiers, projectors etc.

  • Restrooms and lockers are available for use of disabled library users. For assistance, contact or visit the library Help Desk.
  • The library staff are available to assist disabled library users with various services, including locating and engineeringching books, bound journals, tapes, DVDs, and CDs.
  • Library staff can also assist disabled users with fifty pages or less of photocopying, on condition that a twenty-four hours advance request for any photocopying is made, as the ability to provide photocopying on demand cannot be guaranteed. For assistance with photocopying, please contact (NAME, contact no., email) or visit the library Help Desk.
  • Research assistance, such as keyboarding a computer search or consultation for help in papers and assignments, is available from library staff, provided an appointment has been made in advance.
  • Telephone assistance for searching out items on the online catalogue (LibLime Koha), as well as extensions for reserves or loan periods are also available for disabled patrons.
